Once again, Murthy Law Firm founder and president, Sheela Murthy, has been listed among the top immigration lawyers in the country – and in the world! Who’s Who Legal has included Murthy in its 2013 edition of Corporate Immigration, a prestigious and well-respected directory of leading lawyers in her field. Murthy Law Firm member and managing attorney, Aron Finkelstein, and MLF attorney Khorzad Mehta also were among the outstanding immigration attorneys who made this year’s list.
With their inclusion in the 2013 edition of Corporate Immigration, attorneys Murthy, Finkelstein, and Mehta are in very exclusive company, ranking among the select few to be chosen, worldwide, for this directory. The print edition lists 476 of the world’s leading immigration lawyers, in 30 countries, plus Hong Kong.
This influential directory is published by Law Business Research, Ltd., a respected London-based firm, strategic research partner of the American Bar Association’s Section of International Law, and official research partner of the International Bar Association. Law Business Research received the Queen’s Award for Enterprise in 2012.
As the publisher makes clear, the selection process is both rigorous and impartial. It takes several rounds of research to winnow the list down to those “lawyers who, by general agreement, are considered the pre-eminent lawyers in the field.” As the publisher notes:
“Nominees have been selected based on comprehensive, independent survey work with both general counsel and corporate immigration lawyers in private practice worldwide. Only specialists who have met independent international research criteria are listed.”
Financial considerations have no influence on this process, the publisher affirms, noting prominently on its website that it simply is not possible to pay for this listing. In other words, it has to be earned. All of us here at the Murthy Law Firm offer our warmest congratulations to Sheela, Aron, and Khorzad for achieving this high honor!
